“Justice League War” trailer released!

By: Joe Naz (@Naz_islike)

DC has released it new upcoming animated film called Justice League War. This will be DC’s 18th animated movie to be made straight to DVD, with three more on the way. Justice League War will be based off of The New 52 Justice League issues 1-6 (Collected in hardcover and paperback known as Justice League Vol. 1: Origin). The story was written by Geoff Johns with the legendary Jim Lee as artist. The one major difference between the comic and the movie is that Aquaman is nowhere to be seen in the trailer. Either because he can’t fight on land (I’m kidding I know he can tear shit up) OR rumor has it that he will be receiving his own animated movie. Instead, it looks like we’ll get Billy Batson, who can turn into the all powerful S.H.A.Z.A.M (wisdom of Solomon, strength of Hercules, stamina of Atlas, power of Zeus, courage of Achilles, and speed of Mercury) taking Aquaman’s place. While I’ll miss Aquaman there hasn’t really been a DC animated movie that has let me down so I’m open to this. The one annoying this about the trailer is that the dubstep music does over power out some of the voice actors lines. Took me a few times to make out the line Batman says starts at the 24 second mark.

Justice League War is slated for a 2014 release date directed by Jay Oliva and starring:
Jason O’Mara as Batman
Michelle Monaghan as Wonder Woman
Christopher Gorham as The Flash
Alan Tudyk as Superman
Justin Kirk as Green Lantern
Shemar Moore as Cyborg
